Portsmouth came from behind to beat Millwall 2-1 at Fratton Park, with Thomas Waddingham scoring the winning goal in the 82nd minute. Millwall had taken the lead through Jenson Metcalfe after a mistake from Portsmouth goalkeeper Nicolas Schmid. Lyndon Dykes equalized for Portsmouth with an own goal shortly after.
The match was an intense and error-strewn Championship contest, with both teams struggling in the wet and windy conditions. Millwall had opportunities to score, but Portsmouth goalkeeper Madiodio Dia made crucial blocks to keep the score level. Portsmouth also had chances to take the lead, but it wasn't until Waddingham's winner that they took control.
The win was Portsmouth's third in four matches under coach John Mousinho, while Millwall extended their winless run to three games. Millwall seemed to run out of ideas after Waddingham's winner and were unable to find their way back into the contest.

Source context
Thomas Waddingham's fortuitous winner earned in-form Portsmouth a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Millwall at Fratton Park. Millwall captain Jake Cooper's attempted clearance ricocheted off Waddingham and into the back of the net in the 82nd minute to settle an error-strewn Championship contest. Jenson Metcalfe had put the visitors ahead early on after a mistake from Pompey goalkeeper Nicolas Schmid but it was quickly cancelled out by Lyndon Dykes' own goal. And Waddingham's late winner saw John Mousinho's side record a third win in four matches. Pompey made four changes to the side that started their midweek draw at Wolves, with Zak Swanson, Marlon Pack, Ryan Kavuma-McQueen and Marko Milovanovic replacing Jayden Meghoma, Rocco Shein, Tyrese Shade and Ebou Adams.
