Spain boss Luis de la Fuente has been quizzed about Gavi after once again overlooking the Barcelona midfielder for his latest squad. Gavi did not feature in the last call-up in October either, with De la Fuente saying the Barcelona star must work hard and improve if he is to force his way back into the reckoning at international level.
> “Gavi has to continue to be himself. He knows that he must continue to work and grow to be here again,” he told a news conference.
> “It’s not easy at all, because we demand a lot and all the players have a great level, but they all have to keep improving to come to the national team.”
