Three things we learnt from Bundesliga Matchday 6 | Dortmund’s faltering attack, Niclas Füllkrug’s impact on Bremen and a crazy start to the season
Story updated
The story in brief
31-second readEintracht Frankfurt opened Bundesliga Matchday 6 with a much-needed 1-0 win against 1.FC Köln , following their 6-0 loss to RB Leipzig last weekend. Saturday afternoon saw 10 teams in action, with Borussia Dortmund travelling to Union Berlin, Elversberg hosting Augsburg, Hamburg facing Stuttgart, Schalke playing Mainz, and Werder Bremen facing Paderborn.
Here are the three things we learnt: Borussia Dortmund’s attack is not good enough: Since Niko Kovac extended his contract at Dortmund earlier this week , they have not yet scored a goal.
Obviously, this is purely coincidental, but what the loss against Bodo Glimt in midweek and this goalless draw against Union Berlin have shown is that Dortmund’s attack is underperforming.
