This comes amid the understanding that the Rojiblancos are ready to do whatever it takes to make the Canadian international’s signing a permanent one. Frontman David of course swapped Italy for Spain this past summer.
Out of favour at Serie A heavyweights Juventus, the 26-year-old was snapped up by Atlético on a loan deal through next summer. David has since gone on to impress in the colours of his new employers, to the tune of five direct goal contributions in four La Liga appearances.
