After a setback in the Bundesliga last weekend, Bayer Leverkusen will be hoping to return to winning ways as they take on second division side 1.FC Nürnberg at 20:45 CET on Wednesday evening at the BayArena.

The 3-0 defeat to TSG Hoffenheim, however, came with an added price. Carles Martínez confirmed that Moussa Diaby and Loïc Bade will be out for the time being.

They join both Martin Terrier and Christian Kofane on the sidelines. Regardless, Leverkusen will fancy their chances of progressing having won their first round game 4-0 against Wehen Wiesbaden.
