At one stage, it looked like Chelsea would have to wait until next summer to have any chance of signing Alex Scott from Bournemouth. Since Chelsea first registered their interest in Scott, Bournemouth’s stance has been that the midfielder is not for sale.
They did not want to sell him in the previous transfer window, and they were expected to take the same position in January. However, with his contract running down and no new deal on the horizon, their stance has softened.
It is now believed that Bournemouth are willing to do business and part ways with Scott in January. Chelsea have decided not to waste any time.
