From the source

Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl has made it clear that he would prefer any disagreements or discussions surrounding Lennart Karl to be handled internally rather than played out in the media, responding to recent comments from Michael Ballack about the young Bayern Munich star.

Eberl was particularly critical of the decision to conduct these discussions publicly. While Eberl himself did address the situation publicly, his comments were tame and supportive, while Uli Hoeneß and Ballack were a little more hard-edged.

“Honestly, I find it difficult when discussions or disputes like this are conducted through the media. We saw Lennart Karl as a tremendous talent last season, and he made fantastic progress.
