Aston Villa fell to a 3-0 defeat away to Barcelona on Tuesday evening. Facing the Catalan giants in a competitive fixture isn't for everyone, but Unai Emery's side lined up at Camp Nou in the Champions League.

Things didn't truly go to plan in claret and blue as an early Joao Gomes error put the ball on a plate for Lamine Yamal to open the scoring.

Raphinha made it two with a deflected effort, before the Brazil international finished off a stunning Joao Cancelo cross to make it three. That summed up the difference on the night as the quality in Hansi Flick''s side paid dividends.
