The story in brief
33-second readMan Utd’s biggest academy sale of this summer window, Radek Vitek, could come back to haunt them much sooner than anyone expected. Amid a fire sale of academy graduates, Radek Vitek headlined the top line, fetching Man Utd potentially up to £14m from his move to Middlesbrough.
Vitek shone with Bristol City in the Championship last season and wanted clarity on his future at Old Trafford amid Senne Lammens’ rise. Therefore, a permanent move to Middlesbrough was sanctioned.
But not many thought it would come back to haunt the club this soon. Radek Vitek’s brilliant form powering Middlesbrough Middlesbrough finished in the playoffs last season but missed out on promotion, while Vitek was keeping Bristol City afloat with sparkling performances.
