Alphadjo Cisse’s first-half brace was not enough as AC Milan fell to a shock 4-2 home defeat to Bologna at San Siro.
Bologna broke the deadlock in the eighth minute with Mbangula, who netted his first goal for the Rossoblu, but the equaliser took just a few minutes to come as a high recovery by Omari Hutchinson gave Cisse an easy finish from Theate’s giveaway.
By 27 minutes the Rossoneri led, when Tomori collected the ball after another move by Hutchinson and set up Cisse with a cross to the far post.
