Arsenal is considering signing Como defender Jacobo Ramon to strengthen their squad, according to Just Arsenal News. Mikel Arteta wants to maintain the quality of his defensive options to remain competitive. The Gunners have a strong squad and have impressed in the Champions League. Ramon has developed under Cesc Fabregas at Como and attracted interest from several leading clubs.

However, Ramon may be hesitant to join Arsenal as he believes they already have a settled defensive unit and fears limited playing time, according to Football Insider. This concern could make it difficult for Arsenal to sign him, despite offering a competitive environment and the chance to challenge for major honours. Arteta would need to convince Ramon of his role in the team to alleviate these concerns.

Ramon's future remains uncertain, and Arsenal may face strong competition for his signature. The club will need to work hard to change his thinking and convince him that joining the Gunners will support his development. For now, the likelihood of Arsenal signing Ramon in January appears challenging.
