From the source
An exciting African superstar is now ready to join Liverpool. Julian Ward is now starting to settle into his role as the club's new sporting director.
It's a job that he is no stranger to. Not only has he assisted his predecessor, Richard Hughes for the last two years but he has also been here before.
When Michael Edwards first left the club, Ward was the one to come in and replace him. During the year Ward spent in charge of Liverpool, the Reds brought in the likes of Luis Diaz and looked on course to have another exciting new era.
