Bayern Munich outlasted FC Magdeburg in the second round of the DFB-Pokal with a 6-1 victory in front of the home crowd at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern received goals from five different players and assists from five different players as well. Magdeburg’s goal was the result of a very lucky deflection off Hiroki Itō that froze Jonas Urbig and flew perfectly into the far side of the net.
In the postgame interview (via @iMiaSanMia), Jonathan Tah offered some insight into Magdeburg’s strategy and how Bayern countered those tactics. “It’s never easy, even though it looks like it from the outside,” said Tah.
