From the source
Manchester United have chosen delay over decisiveness. According to Guardian, Michael Carrick will stay in charge for Saturday’s trip to Chelsea, despite a run of results that has left the club looking disjointed, vulnerable and far too close to the bottom end of the table.
That is the simple reality. United are 16th in the Premier League, one point above the relegation zone, and the numbers are ugly. Two wins in 12 matches tells its own story.
A 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth was bad enough, but it came straight after a 4-1 loss at Como in the Champions League. Add a Carabao Cup exit against Brighton and there is very little in the current record to defend.
