From the source
Morgan Rogers has said Chelsea’s Carabao Cup exit on penalties is ‘probably the worst way to lose a game’. Chelsea lost to Liverpool in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night after a shootout defeat at Anfield.
Rogers had opened the scoring from the penalty spot for Chelsea, but Cody Gakpo’s equaliser, also from the spot, sent the tie into a shootout.
A marathon shootout saw Liverpool prevail 6-5, and Rogers said Chelsea are gutted with the outcome. However, he said there was much to be positive about after a ‘really good performance’ away from home.
