The story in brief
29-second readThere's been a massive hint that one star is ready to sign a Liverpool contract. The Reds have got to push this one home.Liverpool have some major contract situations to figure out over the coming months.
It would be ideal, really, if they could get Virgil van Dijk signed up before January 1st, for instance.Admittedly, that doesn't feel likely.
The Reds were in the same situation two years ago - with a Van Dijk who was two years younger - and they didn't re-sign the captain until April. We imagine it'll be similar this time around, even if we'd like to see things sorted nice and early for once.
