The story in brief
26-second readMonday night saw Chelsea fans celebrate for a second time over the course of the weekend’s Premier League fixtures as Frank Lampard’s Coventry City secured a second successive win.
Lampard’s Coventry had endured a difficult start after promotion to the Premier League, but the Sky Blues beat Nottingham Forest in the final game before the break, and on Monday, they smashed Newcastle 4-1.
Coventry are many Chelsea fans’ second team this season, given the presence of Lampard in the dugout. Obviously, that won’t be the case when Lampard and Xabi Alonso share the touchline on December 27.
