From the source

Jordan Henderson was a surprising omission from Chelsea’s squad for Saturday afternoon’s game against Manchester United. Henderson has been an integral part of Xabi Alonso’s side since returning from a broken arm in September.

The England international made an incredible impact on his home debut against Bournemouth, scoring twice and providing an assist in a 5-1 win. Henderson had played the full 90 minutes in five consecutive games for Chelsea.

That run has now ended, as Henderson was not even named on the substitutes’ bench on Saturday. Premier League clash with United. BBC Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella has revealed that “Jordan Henderson is out through illness.”
