Gabriele Biancheri quit Manchester United in the summer to try his luck in Austria. His decision is starting to pay off. Young striker Gabriele Biancheri made excellent progress in Manchester United’s academy, but was not rewarded with a first team chance.
Towards the end of the transfer window, Biancheri secured an exit to join ambitious Austrian side Wacker Innsbruck, who have just secured two successive promotions.
Biancheri is now up and running after scoring his first ever professional goal in an Austrian Cup clash against WSG Tirol. The 20-year-old scored a header in extra-time to force a penalty shootout.
