Aston Villa Women clash with Birmingham City in the Women's League Cup on Wednesday. It's Second City derby week in the midlands, with the Villans welcoming their near rivals to Keys Park.

Villa failed to get out of their group in the competition last season, finishing second behind Tottenham. They did, however, finish ahead of Birmingham in that group, despite the fact Blues beat the Villains in their group stage game.

That November 2025 meeting was a 3-3 thriller at Walsall's Bescot Stadium, which ended with Brum winning 4-2 on penalties. Lucia Kendall was on the pitch that day for Aston Villa, and what she did during it will be fresh in her mind on Wednesday night.
