José Mourinho deals Real Madrid’s fans a transfer blow

Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho has this weekend moved to play down the chances of fresh faces arriving in his squad during the January transfer window.

Mourinho’s Real are of course fresh off a busy summer, giving rise to reinforcements in a whole host of positions across the pitch. And yet, many remain of the opinion that Los Blancos’ squad remains lacking in key areas, particularly in the middle of the park.

Real have already fallen six points off the pace of arch rivals Barcelona atop the La Liga table, amid what has been a hit-and-miss campaign all told to date.
