Since the arrival of Ezri Konsa in the summer, playing chances have been limited for Cristhian Mosquera at Arsenal this season, but Mikel Arteta insists he is a part of the plan and can still play a key role at the club.
It is a testament to Arsenal’s squad depth that players like Mosquera and World Cup winners Mikel Merino and Martin Zubimendi have become benchwarmers. For Mosquera, the situation could get worse because William Saliba will soon be back on the pitch and the Frenchman will push him further down on the pecking order.
Although he cannot guarantee him game time, Mikel Arteta wants Mosquera to know that he is a part of the plans at the Emirates and will get his chances.
