Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen was understandably disappointed that his team could not secure all three points in Saturday’s Klassiker, but he also acknowledged that Dortmund made life difficult for the Bundesliga leaders, particularly during the first half.
Dreesen was keen to give Dortmund credit for creating several excellent opportunities before the break, while also pointing to the three injuries Bayern suffered during the match as an additional challenge.
With Ismael Saibari, Serge Gnabry, and Michael Olise all experiencing injury problems, Bayern now face an anxious wait to discover the extent of the damage ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League meeting with Atlético Madrid.
