Opinion: Liverpool reportedly ready to sign the perfect midfielder for Iraola, he's unreal
Story updated
The story in brief
32-second readLiverpool are making exciting moves to sign the perfect midfielder for Andoni Iraola. Liverpool are looking a little short in midfield at the moment. With Curtis Jones moving on, Trey Nyoni has been given a bigger role, and that feels like the right decision.
Promoting from within has always been a big part of how the Reds operate, and Nyoni is exactly the kind of young player they should be trusting. That said, even with Nyoni stepping up, Liverpool still look a midfielder short.
James McConnell has featured in first-team squads this season, but it feels like he could benefit from finding regular football elsewhere and continuing his development away from Anfield.Nyoni, though, clearly has something about him.
