Bournemouth soften Alex Scott stance as Chelsea learn two conditions that will clinch January deal

Bournemouth have been desperate to keep hold of England midfielder Alex Scott, but there is now a realisation at The Vitality that Scott will depart with Chelsea leading the race for Scott’s signature.

Chelsea failed to sign a replacement for Enzo Fernandez at the end of the summer window, and despite the form of Jordan Henderson and Moises Caicedo’s return, the Blues are expected to sign a midfielder.

Lamine Camara, Manu Kone and plenty of others continue to be linked with Chelsea. However, since the window closed, no player has been linked more with Chelsea than Scott .
