Gazzetta: Cardinale looks beyond the pitch: new head of football, San Siro and NBA Europe
Story updated
The story in brief
35-second readGerry Cardinale will continue his search for a new head of AC Milan's sporting department, without changing the management structure established in May. The current setup is based on collective decision-making, involving RedBird's founder alongside coach Amorim, CEO Calvelli, Almstadt, Gardner and Lomonte.
Interviews to identify the right candidate have already begun. However, unlike the situation following the management overhaul on May 25, Cardinale now has more time to conduct face-to-face meetings with potential candidates, as pointed out by La Gazzetta dello Sport .
The plan is to appoint a new 'Head of Football' before the start of next season, by July 1. Ideally, the appointment would be made a few months earlier, allowing the new executive time to settle into the organization and begin working with the team.
