Tottenham Hotspur are one of a whole host of clubs around Europe who have set their sights on a versatile Juventus defender. Spurs did not replace Djed Spence with another right-back in the summer, with Roberto De Zerbi deciding to use Archie Gray as Pedro Porro’s backup at right-back.

It remains to be seen if the Italian will change his mind in January, and he may also be presented with a new problem. Porro is now openly flirting with a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona, even though he only signed a new five-year deal with the North London club in the summer.

He said: “Obviously, I’d love to return to Spain someday. It’s my country, and I like the league. When asked whether he would suit Real Madrid or Barca better, he said: “I don’t know.
