From the source

Michael Carrick will still lead Manchester United into this weekend’s Premier League trip to Chelsea, despite a run that has left very little room for excuses.

According to Standard Sport, United have decided against making an immediate change, even after a sequence that has seen them go winless in their last eight matches.

That matters because the expectation had already hardened. Carrick “was widely expected to be fired after Sunday’s 3-0 defeat by Bournemouth”, yet the club have kept him in place and, for now, they are sticking with the idea that this can still be repaired on the pitch.
