From the source

Matthias Jaissle’s side faces Everton in Thursday’s Carabao Cup match after a much-needed 2-0 Premier League win at Crystal Palace, ending a tough run of three defeats in four matches.

Newcastle has already beaten West Brom and Millwall in this competition and is now chasing a fifth straight quarter-final appearance, with Jaissle indicating that Newcastle will take the same approach as in the previous rounds and field a relatively strong lineup.

Everton arrives after consecutive 2-0 Premier League defeats to Chelsea and Arsenal, but David Moyes’s team has progressed past Preston and Wolves in the EFL Cup without allowing a goal.
