The Chelsea Chronicle has proposed Chelsea's best XI when every player is available, with Xabi Alonso yet to find his optimal team due to injury issues and recent changes. The proposed team is based on a 4-2-3-1 formation, which Chelsea have looked better in lately. The team includes experienced players like Emiliano Martinez in goal and Reece James at right-back. The selection is attributed to the players' form and ability.
The proposed back four includes Reece James at right-back, Josh Acheampong and Levi Colwill in central defence, and Jorrel Hato at left-back. Acheampong and Colwill's partnership means Maxence Lacroix, Chelsea's £52m summer signing, has no room in the team. Acheampong has shown his ability to carry the ball out of the backline, while Colwill is comfortable passing the ball into midfield with his left foot.
The midfield and attack feature Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo in a double pivot, with Estevao Willian, Cole Palmer, and Morgan Rogers making up the front three alongside Joao Pedro up front. Lavia had a standout performance against Manchester United, while Caicedo is expected to be more box-to-box. Cole Palmer is considered one of the best No.10s in the world, and Joao Pedro is a top-three striker in the Premier League.

Source context
Xabi Alonso is yet to find his best XI at Chelsea, which is more than understandable. Alonso has not been at Chelsea for long and is having to contend with several injury problems at the moment. Right now, he is without Joao Pedro, Maxence Lacroix and Emiliano Martinez to name a few players. If everyone was fit, though, what would Chelsea’s best team look like? We have had a guess here at The Chelsea Chronicle! Mike Penders played well in goal against Manchester United over the weekend. However, Martinez is still the more experienced shot-stopper and was starting to pick up form before fracturing his jaw away at Everton.
