Liverpool supporters had plenty of reasons to be upbeat on Sunday despite suffering a frustrating defeat against Arsenal at Anfield. The Reds were largely good in the face of the Premier League champions, and though they ran out of steam at the end, they really should have capitalised on a first-half period where they had them absolutely on the ropes.
Nevertheless, despite some positives, there were still a few concerns, with the somewhat non-existent performance of Bradley Barcola chief among them.
The Frenchman simply could not get going against Arsenal, but rather than being because of a lack of quality in his play, legendary former Liverpool winger John Barnes claims that Barcola was simply the victim of some impressive Gunners defending.
