The story in brief
10-second readThe 18-year-old made his Premier League debut for Tottenham in the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. A lot of credit for Tottenham Hotspur’s recent upturn in form must go to some of their summer signings.

A lot of credit for Tottenham Hotspur’s recent upturn in form must go to some of their summer signings. Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes have been showing signs of building a strong partnership in the middle of the park, Jan Paul van Hecke showcasing his authority in defence and Andy Robertson bombing up and down on the left flank.
Once winless in six, Spurs are now on a three-game winning streak, with their latest victory coming against Crystal Palace at home. Roberto De Zerbi’s side had to work very hard to break down a team sitting deep in a low block after Crystal Palace were reduced to 10 men inside 15 minutes.
They eventually prevailed and secured a victory, thanks to goals from Archie Gray and Jan Paul van Hecke. After the game, Williams-Barnett received huge praise from his boss.
