Story updated
The story in brief
8-second readRoberto De Zerbi has issued a clear rallying cry ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s clash with Crystal Palace, insisting that managers at a club of Spurs’ stature cannot plead for time.
From the source
Tottenham Hotspur head coach Roberto De Zerbi has made his expectations crystal clear as Spurs prepare to host Crystal Palace in North London. Following back-to-back victories over Coventry City and Chelsea, the Italian manager refused to hide behind transition periods or rebuild narratives, placing maximum accountability on himself and his players.
Speaking ahead of the fixture, as reported by fan outlet Last Word On Spurs on X, De Zerbi emphasized that managing a club with the ambition and profile of Tottenham Hotspur leaves no room for asking for patience.
“We can’t ask for time. We can’t ask for anything. We have the quality to win games and become better and better.” De Zerbi’s comments reflect a fierce winning mentality that has quickly re-energized the Tottenham squad following their mid-season training block in Marbella.
