The story in brief
26-second readHermann/FC Bayern via Getty Images | FC Bayern via Getty Images After a relatively successful international break, Bayern Munich’s players are now back in Munich as they prepare for the first game back in the Bundesliga.
Their exploits lead them to Augsburg, a club performing remarkably well given their size and status amongst the big clubs. The Bavarians sit second at the time of writing while their neighbors sit in fourth place.
Augsburg cost the Rekordmeister from being an “invincible” team in the previous Bundesliga season, which will surely add motivation for Bayern’s players.
