From the source
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has outlined his hopes for Matheus Cunha following his heroic performance in the comeback against AS Roma. Thanks to Cunha’s stunning exploits at Old Trafford on Tuesday, United avoided what would have been a humiliating defeat.
The Red Devils found themselves staring down the barrel of another loss when Roma cruised to a commanding two-goal lead inside 17 minutes. United reduced the arrears on the hour mark as Bruno Fernandes scored from the penalty spot, having missed his first attempt but being granted a second bite of the apple due to an encroachment offence.
The hosts continued to push and finally got their reward as Cunha scored in the 83rd minute after a missed clearance from Leonardo Balerdi. I think he’s a hugely talented footballer and he showed glimpses, especially last season.”
