Barcelona’s recruitment plans must balance the demands of Hansi Flick’s first team with the need to secure promising young players before their reputations and transfer costs grow.
The Catalans have several emerging talents already competing for opportunities, yet their recruitment department continues to monitor prospects who could strengthen the squad over the longer term.
Flick’s approach places considerable demands on his midfielders. They must press aggressively, move the ball forward quickly and react immediately when opponents regain possession. Barcelona’s established options include Pedri, Fermín López, Dani Olmo and Gavi.
