From the source

Como became the first Italian club to score nine goals in a single European match and secured the largest-ever away victory in the Champions League with a 9-1 win over Lens.

Como made history in many ways with a stunning 9-1 away win at Lens on Wednesday. As Opta reported, the Lariani became the first Italian team to score at least seven goals in an away Champions League game, and the first Italian team to score nine goals in a single game in any European competition.

No team from any country had scored nine goals away in the Champions League since 1971, and only Bayern Munich had netted nine in a single match in this competition.
