Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain have a history of interaction, having met in the Champions League knockout stages twice in a row, with PSG emerging victorious both times. They were also involved in a lengthy negotiation over Bradley Barcola this summer, which Liverpool ultimately won. The relationship between the two clubs is not strained, but it may be about to change. The two clubs' recent interactions have been significant.
PSG is now looking to sign Gilberto Mora due to Kvicha Kvaratskhelia's ACL injury, which will keep him out for the rest of the 2026-27 season. Luis Enrique had previously delayed Barcola's sale to sign a replacement, and PSG is now seeking to add an attacker. They had added Ferran Torres and Mika Godts to their squad after Barcola's departure, but Kvaratskhelia's injury has created a new need. Ekrem Konur reported that PSG is considering Mora.
Liverpool has made a €40 million offer for Mora, and PSG is expected to enter the transfer race in January. Mora is 18 years old and has contributed to five goals in seven games this season. If Liverpool signs him, he will be considered homegrown by the time he needs to be registered. Liverpool has been successful in signing young players, and Mora's talent and age make him an attractive target.
