Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca is not concerned about Marc Guéhi's recent errors, despite the defender's mistakes leading to goals in the past two Premier League matches. Guéhi's gaffes against Aston Villa and Ipswich Town have cost City, with Maresca attributing the substitution against Villa to a yellow card and the need to be aggressive. Maresca believes Guéhi has played too many minutes without rest.
Aston Villa's 2-1 victory at Villa Park marked City's first league loss of the season, with Nicolas Jackson scoring twice. City had 15 shots to Villa's eight, but Villa scored with their only two shots on target, thanks in part to Guéhi's error on the opening goal. City goalkeeper Zion Suzuki made several important saves in the second half.
Maresca felt City deserved more from the game given the chances they created, but conceded that they were not clinical enough in front of goal. Unai Emery praised Jackson's performance, highlighting his speed, physical presence, and finishing ability, and noted his improvement in shooting and tactical understanding. Emery believes Jackson is working hard to improve.

Source context
Enzo Maresca is not concerned by the form of Marc Guéhi despite the defender costing his side three goals in the past two Premier League matches, the Manchester City manager said after seeing his side lose in the league for the first time this season. Nicolas Jackson’s double earned Aston Villa a 2-1 victory at Villa Park after Guéhi was unable to control the ball for the opener. Instead he spilled it into the path of John McGinn, who played it to Jackson, allowing him to score the first of two goals. The defender was then substituted at half-time having been booked on 32 minutes. Guéhi’s errors allowed Ipswich to score twice against City last weekend. “I know that he’s played every minute since the season started with us, with the international team, so it’s not easy.
