From the source
Bayern Munich will not have to pay Tottenham Hotspur an extra fee after Harry Kane’s Ballon d’Or win. According to Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg, Tottenham didn’t negotiate a bonus clause linked to winning the Ballon d’Or in the deal that took Kane to Bayern.
Kane joined the Bundesliga giants from Tottenham in the summer of 2023 in a reported €100 million deal (£83m). The agreement included several performance-related bonuses, but winning the Ballon d’Or wasn’t one of them.
That means Bayern have no additional financial obligation to Spurs following the England captain’s historical achievement. Kane beat Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappe to the prestigious award on Monday night, capping off a sensational year for the England international.
