Barcelona plan move for Tottenham star whose contract contains release clause

Lucas Bergvall’s long-term future at Tottenham Hotspur is far from guaranteed, even though the midfielder only recently signed a new contract. Bergvall signed a new long-term deal at Spurs last month , and according to various reports, the midfielder has received a substantial pay rise .

However, the news of the new deal came out of nowhere, and it surprised many people, especially given that the 20-year-old had his heart set on leaving N17 in search of regular football at one point in the summer window.

Many may have wondered why Bergvall changed his mind and committed his future to the club despite not managing to establish himself as a regular in Tottenham’s starting eleven yet.
