From the source

Fleetwood Town enjoyed a historic evening, dumping a lacklustre Arsenal out of the League Cup with a 5-3 penalty shootout win. Conor Haughey struck the decisive kick after Bruno Guimaraes’ effort was saved, with Aaron Loupalo-Bi and Viktor Gyokeres having traded goals in a 1-1 draw.

The Gunners had enough possession to win the game several times over, but their shortcomings in attack were brutally exposed. Only seven of their 26 shots were on target, and even the one that went in was as scruffy as they come.

Adding salt to the wound, Max Dowman received a straight red card for kicking out in the closing stages. All in all, it was a night to forget, although you can be sure our rivals won’t let us for a while.
