Newcastle United's performance against Everton was described as 'absolutely lifeless' by Newcastle Toons, with the team struggling to mount a meaningful attack. The publication criticized the team's lack of creativity and energy, with several players receiving low ratings for their performances. The match ended in a 0-1 loss for Newcastle United.
Several Newcastle United players were criticized for their performances, including Lewis Hall, who was described as 'lazy' and ineffective down the left flank. Joe Willock was also panned for his lack of impact on the game, with the publication noting that he struggled to find space and often got in the way of other players. Alexander Isak was one of the few players to show some promise, hitting the post with a shot.
The publication suggested that some changes may be needed, with Harvey Barnes being brought on as a substitute and making an instant impact. The author argued that Barnes should have started alongside Nico Williams rather than replacing him, and that he deserves more minutes in the coming weeks. The team's overall performance was described as one of the worst seen by the author, with a lack of creativity and energy being major concerns.

Source context
I don’t want to talk about it. There’s not even really anything to get annoyed about, it was just an absolutely lifeless performance once again from Newcastle United. The worst part is I’m struggling to even see where a turnaround is going to come from. Player ratings below, if you can stomach them. Hornicek should have done so much better with the goal, but the fact that George had that much space to get the initial shot off was a travesty in itself.
