Barcelona have identified Aston Villa midfielder Johan Manzambi as a player of interest, with sporting director Deco expected to assess the Switzerland international closely when the two sides meet in the Champions League on Tuesday.
According to a report from SPORT, the 21-year-old has emerged as one of the players particularly admired by Barcelona’s sporting department. His impressive performances since arriving in the Premier League have attracted attention, although any attempt to bring him to Catalonia would require a significant financial commitment.
Manzambi has registered three goals and four assists in eight appearances this season, averaging a goal contribution every 70 minutes. With Aston Villa visiting the Spotify Camp Nou later today, Deco will have an opportunity to evaluate a midfielder whose development could make him an attractive candidate for Barcelona’s future recruitment plans.
