The story in brief
6-second readBayern Munich chiefs Herbert Hainer, Jan-Christian Dreesen, Max Eberl and Christoph Freund have all congratulated Harry Kane on winning the 2026 Ballon d'Or.
From the source
Harry Kane lifted the 2026 Ballon d’Or at a ceremony in London on Monday night, becoming the first Bayern Munich player to win the prestigious award since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in 1981.
It was therefore a momentous occasion not only for Kane, but also for the German champions, with several of the club’s leading figures paying tribute to their star striker.
“This is a proud day for FC Bayern. Harry Kane can do it all – and he scores goals, goals and more goals. He now joins a line with Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Müller and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge – that says everything about our history," said FC Bayern president Herbert Hainer in a statement.
