Liverpool were beaten for the second time in four days on Wednesday after throwing away a lead against Fenerbahce in the final 20 minutes.
Goals from Trey Nyoni and Alexander Isak had the Reds on course for an important three points in the Champions League, but some shocking defending and some poor goalkeeping from Alisson Becker succumbed them to another damaging loss.
It was a huge win for former Liverpool attacker Dirk Kuyt, in charge of Fenerbahce, but a chastening one for his old team, and easily the worst night of Andoni Iraola’s reign so far.
