From the source

AEK Athens have been singing about Real Madrid for more than half a century, thanks to a friendly draw and a forward who also recorded the club’s anthem.

The line translates roughly as “And your name became the terror of Real.” Its origins lie in Madrid’s visit to Nea Filadelfeia on May 12, 1965, when the teams drew 3–3.

Ferenc Puskás featured for Madrid, but AEK’s Mimis Papaioannou caught the visitors’ attention in that game. Puskás was sufficiently impressed to want Papaioannou at Real Madrid.
