The story in brief
30-second readBy: Oliver Fisher It has been a strange start to the season for Goncalo Ramos, following on from a summer where he found himself at the centre of a record-breaking deal.
Ramos joined Milan for €75m plus bonuses, with the deal officially confirmed on June 30. He celebrated his move with a last-gasp winner for Portugal to knock Luka Modric’s Croatia out of what will likely be his final World Cup.
That was the start of the initial climb on the Ramos roller coaster, which continued when he scored his first goal for the club in the round two win over Venezia at San Siro with a lovely finish.
