Liverpool is heading into a crucial match against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday, following a jolt from consecutive losses to Arsenal and Fenerbahce. The team's recent back-to-back defeats make the upcoming game weightier than usual. Ryan Gravenberch's availability is uncertain due to a heel injury. The midfielder's situation is described as a day-to-day call, with the decision to play him resting on whether he can contribute despite the pain.
Gravenberch picked up the heel injury during the warm-up before the Arsenal game and was left out of the subsequent match against Fenerbahce for treatment. The Netherlands national team has also ruled him out for the upcoming Nations League games, indicating that a quick fix is not expected. Other players, including Hugo Ekitike, Giovanni Leoni, Conor Bradley, and Jeremie Frimpong, are also sidelined with injuries.
Despite the injury concerns, Liverpool has some positives, with Dominik Szoboszlai returning from injury and Trey Nyoni showing promise on his first Premier League start against Arsenal. Crystal Palace, on the other hand, are struggling, having failed to score in their last three league matches and conceding nine goals. The match is expected to be a test of Liverpool's calmness, discipline, and decisiveness.

Source context
Nobody at Liverpool will pretend the last week has been anything other than a jolt. A home defeat to Arsenal, settled by a single Kai Havertz goal, was followed by a 3-2 loss in Istanbul to Fenerbahce in which we led twice and still came away empty-handed. In our view, that makes Sunday’s trip to Selhurst Park far weightier than a meeting with the 18th-placed side normally would be. The biggest unknown heading into the weekend is Ryan Gravenberch. Andoni Iraola did not dress it up when asked, describing the midfielder’s situation as a day-to-day call and essentially “a matter of pain”, with the decision resting on whether he can play through it and still contribute.
