The story in brief
32-second readXabi Alonso has not been at Chelsea for long, but the 44-year-old could already be set to make history at the club. Under Alonso , Chelsea have made a habit of scoring early goals, and it was no different in their 5-1 victory over Bournemouth last weekend.
It took Jordan Henderson just two minutes to open the scoring for the Blues. One minute later, Morgan Rogers also managed to get his name on the scoresheet.
The attacking midfielder has been a quality addition to Chelsea’s starting XI this season. With 32 games still left to play in the Premier League, Chelsea could be about to do something very special as Alonso watches on from the dugout.
